El Tepual International Airport, opened on May 11, 1963, is the most important in the Lake Region and one of the busiest in Chile. It mainly operates with domestic flights to several destinations in the country and with a few international flights in Argentina.

The airport is located 16 km (10 miles) to the west of Puerto Montt.

The airport has ATMs, public telephones and Wi-Fi access for a fee. The Salones VIP Pacific Club lounge is located on the second floor, across from gate 4, and opens from Monday to Saturday between 6:30 am and 10:30 pm, Sunday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm (maximum stay: 6 hours); it provides computers, refreshments, drinks, telephones, Wi-Fi, TV, air conditioning, newspapers and magazines, conference facilities, fax, and is accessible with Priority Pass, Lounge Club or Diners Club membership, through online booking or by paying at the door (USD50.00).

Food and Drinks- A restaurant is available on the second floor of the terminal and there are coffee shops on both levels.
Shopping- Options include stores selling souvenirs, handicrafts, sweets, seafood, imported goods.

Bus - AndresTour (Tel +56 65 254 2161 / 9 9647 2210) provides bus and minibus services to and from the airport, travelling to the city centre and tourist locations. Buses depart from the first level of the Arrivals Hall.

Taxi - There are privately operated cabs outside the terminal. The trip to the city centre takes approximately 30 minutes.
