Chacalluta International Airport serves the XV Region of Arica and Parinacota, to the north of the country. It operates with domestic and international flights to Bolivia. After recent remodelling and extension, it is considered one of the most modern in Chile.

Location

The airport is located 18 km (11.5 miles) to the north of the city of Arica.

Europcar (Tel +56 58 257 8500 - Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Saturdays from 9:00 am to 11:00 am) and Hertz (Tel +56 58 219 186 - from 6:00 am to 1:00 am) have car rental offices in the main hall.

Shopping- Souvenirs, regional goods, newspapers and magazines, duty-free articles.
Baggage- Enquiries about missing luggage should be directed to the counter of the appropriate airline.

Bus - At the exit from the terminal building there are mini-buses from Transfer Arica Service Tour (Tel +56 58 222 899) travelling to and from the city.

Taxi - Cabs from Taxis Turismo Frontera (Tel +56 944 092 433) available outside the passenger terminal. The trip to downtown Arica takes approximately 25 minutes.
