Natal airport (NAT) 

 

Natal - Governador Aluízio Alves International Airport, also known as São Gonçalo do Amarante Airport and opened on May 31, 2014, has replaced the old Augusto Severo Airport. It serves the metropolitan area of Natal, capital of the state of Rio Grande do Norte, and it is the newest and one of the most important airports in Brazil. It operates with domestic and international flights in Argentina and Portugal.

The airport is located in the town of São Gonçalo do Amarante, 40 km (25 miles) to the west of Natal.

Bus - Trampolim da Vitória (Tel +55 84 3343 5151) is responsible for the intercity transport of passengers between the capital, the cities of Parnamirim, Macaíba and São Gonçalo do Amarante, and the airport. Line R travels from the enclosure to the São Gonçalo do Amarante Terminal and Shopping Midway Mall in Natal between 4:20 am and 10:50 pm. Timetables and fares

Taxi - COOPCON (Tel +55 84 3343 6429 / 9835 5574) operates a large fleet of vehicles at the airport. The service can be requested 24 hours a day in the Domestic Arrivals Hall, on the ground floor. Travel time to Natal is 45 minutes.

The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureau, public telephones and Wi-Fi access.

Food and Drinks- There are restaurants and fast food outlets in the Departures area. Casa do Pão de Queijo, Espaço Árabe and Salosino are open 24 hours a day.
Shopping- Duty-free articles in the International sector and the Domestic Arrivals Hall. There are also souvenir stands and newsagents.
Baggage- Secure luggage wrapping in the Departures area. The lost and found office operates between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm (Tel +55 84 3343 6060).
