Ushuaia airport (USH)

Malvinas Argentinas International Airport, opened on November 27, 1995, serves the island of Tierra del Fuego and is the world's southernmost airport. It operates with domestic destinations around the country and international charter and seasonal flights to Chile and Brazil. It is also used for Antarctic flights.

Location

The airport is located in the Ushuaian Peninsula, 5 km (3 miles) to the south of the city of Ushuaia.

Food and Drinks- There is a confectionery on the ground floor and a restaurant on the upper level.
Shopping- Duty-free and convenience stores are available, souvenirs, handicrafts, jewellery.
Baggage- Secure wrapping service and luggage trolleys. Enquiries about missing luggage should be made at the offices of the appropriate airline or the airport police.

Taxi - Outside the Arrivals Hall there are regular cabs from Asociación Propietarios de Taxis (Tel +54 2901 422 007) and remises (VIP taxis) operated by Remis Carlitos (Tel +54 2901 432 222 / 436 170). Journey time to the city centre is 15 minutes.

 

The parking area is located close to the terminal and is free of charge.

 

Facilities include ramps, adapted telephones and restrooms, and an exclusive parking lot in front of the terminal building. If you require special assistance, contact your airline at least 48 hours prior to your flight.
