Martín Miguel de Güemes International Airport, opened in 1949, serves Salta province and some locations in adjacent provinces. It operates with domestic flights and some international destinations in South America.

The airport is located 7 km (4.5 miles) to the southwest of the city of Salta.

Bus - Minibuses from Camerún Buses (Tel +54 387 422 7444) depart from outside the terminal to the city centre. Tickets can be acquired in the main hall of the Arrivals area.

Taxi - There are vehicles available outside the terminal operated by the government of the city of Salta. In addition, Camerún Remises (Tel +54 387 422 7444) provides a remis service (VIP cabs). Travel time to the city centre is 20-30 minutes.

 

There are car rental counters from Annie Millet-Hertz (Tel +54 387 424 0113 - 7:00 am to 11:00 pm) and Localiza (Tel +54 387 424 7667 / 800 999 2999 - 8:30 am to 10:00 pm) in the Arrivals Hall.

 

The airport has Wi-Fi access. The Aeropuertos VIP Club lounge is located in the public area, next to gate 2, and opens from 7:30 am to 10:00 pm; the maximum stay is 3 hours and it offers TV, air conditioning, newspapers and magazines, telephones, Wi-Fi, computers, refreshments, drinks (accessible with Priority Pass or VIP Club membership, or by paying at the door - USD36.00).

Food and Drinks- There is a coffee shop on the first floor, in the Departures area.
Shopping- Convenience store in the main hall, handicrafts, snacks and beverages, clothing and accessories, newspapers and magazines.
Baggage- Enquiries about missing luggage should be directed to the offices of the corresponding airline or the airport police (Tel +54 387 437 5112 ext. 777 - from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm).

Facilities are basic, including ramps, adapted restrooms and reserved parking spaces. It is advised to inform your airline about any special requirement in advance.
