Wellington International Airport, also known as Rongotai Airport and opened on October 25, 1959, is one of the busiest in New Zealand and serves the capital of the country. It operates with domestic and international flights to Australia and other neighbouring countries.

Bus - The Airport Flyer from Metlink (Tel +64 800 801 700) is an express service between the airport and Lower Hutt - Queensgate that runs through downtown Wellington. It operates every 20 minutes from 7:00 am to 8:45 pm and departs from the southern end of the terminal, level 0. Journey time to the city centre is around 30 min. Around 10 min. away from the terminal you can board line 11, which runs to Wellington Station and Seatoun Park. More information
Super Shuttle (Tel +64 4472 9552 / 800 748 885) is a door-to-door, shared minibus service available for all flights. It leaves from outside the baggage reclaim area.

Taxi - Ranks can be found directly outside the luggage recollection area and the trip to the city takes 15-25 minutes.
