Brisbane Airport, opened on June 9, 1928, is one of the largest in Australia. It operates with numerous domestic flights and international destinations within Oceania, the Far East, the Middle East and North America.

Number of Terminals - 2 - International Terminal and Domestic Terminal, open 24 hours a day. A complimentary shuttle (Airport Transfer Bus) connects the terminals with each other and with the Skygate building from 4:00 am to 11:00 pm.
Annual passenger traffic: More than 23.2 million passengers went through it in 2017.

Bus - Con-x-ion Airport Transfers (Tel +61 755 569 888) offers door-to-door transportation every hour to and from Brisbane city (30 minutes trip), including Kangaroo Point, Transit Centre, Cruise Terminal and Portside Wharf Hamilton. It also runs to Gold Coast, from Sanctuary Cove to Coolangatta, and to Sunshine Coast. The company has ticket desks on level 2 of the International Terminal and at the kerbside of the Domestic Terminal.
On the other hand, TransLink (Tel +61 738 518 700) operates line 590 from the Skygate Centre to Garden City, Upper Mount Gravatt, Mount Gravatt East, Carindale, Murarrie and Toombul Interchange.

Train - The Airtrain (Tel +61 732 163 308) connects the airport with the city and with the Gold Coast, and it also links both terminals. It leaves every 15 minutes during peak hours and every 30 min. the rest of the time. It operates Mondays through Fridays between 5:04 am and 10:04 pm and weekends from 6:04 am to 10:04 pm. Journey time to downtown Brisbane is around 20 min. Intermediate stops include Eagle Junction, Wooloowin, Albion, Bowen Hills, Fortitude Valley, South Brisbane, Altandi, Loganlea, Beenleigh, Ormeau, Coomera, Helensvale, Nerang, Robina and Varsity Lakes.

Taxi - Official airport operators are Black & White Cabs (Tel +61 133 222) and Yellow Cab (Tel +61 131 924). Ranks are found in front of the Domestic Terminal and on the northern end of the International Terminal. The trip to the city centre takes around 25 minutes.

ParkPremium - The closest lot to the Domestic Terminal, on level 3 of the multi-storey facility.
AirPark - Situated in the center of the airport, for long periods, with free shuttle service.

 

If you should require assistance to and from your flight and through the security and border controls, inform your airline or travel agent before your arrival at the airport. Airlines can provide wheelchairs for use inside the terminal and when boarding or descending from the aircraft. Inside the car parks there are reserved spaces near the terminals. There are also lifts, escalators, moving walkways, adapted toilets and relief areas for assistance animals.
