Tahiti Faa'a International Airport, opened in 1961, serves the island of Tahiti and is the only international airstation in French Polynesia. It operates with flights to the different islands in the territory and some international destinations in Oceania, America, Europe and the Far East.

The airport has a bank (Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 am to 11:45 am and from 1:30 pm to 4:30 pm), ATMs, currency exchange bureau (Mondays through Fridays from 8:00 am to 11:30 am), post office and Wi-Fi access free of charge for 30 minutes. Domestic Terminal 1 has a business center. The Air Tahiti Nui Lounge is located above the boarding area of the International Terminal and opens since 150 minutes before the first flight until 60 min. after the last; it has a smoking area, TV, air conditioning, drinks, Wi-Fi, refreshments, showers, newspapers and magazines (access with Priority Pass, DragonPass or Diners Club membership).
Food and Drinks- Fast food outlets, coffee shops and bars in Domestic Terminal 1. On the Departures level of the International Terminal there is also a bar.
Shopping- Duty-free stores in the International Terminal, newsagents, tobacconists, books, souvenirs, flowers, jewellery, accessories.
Baggage- Left luggage service available from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm (Tuesdays from 6:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 1:30 pm to 11:00 pm - Tel +689 4086 6008). In case of lost or damaged baggage, contact the offices of the appropriate airline.

Bus - Directly in front of the terminal, across the parking lot and up some stairs is the Le Truck stop, from where you can get a transport into Papeete and around the island. Destinations are usually marked on the sides of the vehicle.

Taxi - Taxi Tahiti (Tel +689 866 066) has cabs opposite the terminal. Travel time to the city is around 10 minutes.

P0 Parking Fret - Dedicated to cargo transport, but also open to the general public, to the side of the terminals.
P1 Parking Express - For short stays, across from the main buildings.
P2 Parking Longue durée - Long-term lot. The first 15 minutes are free.
Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs are advised to notify their airline or travel agent about their particular needs at the time of their booking. There are reserved spaces in all car parks.
