Spending the night at the airport
Sacramento airport operates with numerous flights inside the United States, so it is common to see movement and passengers waiting for their flight even during the night. Although the terminals are open 24 hours a day, layover passengers will have to remain in the public area after the security controls close for the night. Having earplugs or headphones is recommended, as the announcements are fairly loud.
Where to rest: It is possible to find comfortable seats next to the base of the escalators in both terminals, with the added benefit of multiple power outlets nearby. There is also a quiet room inside which you can rest in silence. On the other hand, many hotels in the surroundings operate shuttle services around the clock for their guests.
Baggage: As there is no left-luggage service inside the airport, you will have to keep your baggage with you until check-in.
Eating and drinking: Most shops close between 9:00 pm and 4:00 am, so the only options between those hours are vending machines.
Wi-Fi: It is free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby care facilities, quiet room.
There are no on-site hotels, but you can find several options nearby, with transportation services for their guests.
