Palm Beach International Airport, opened on December 19, 1936, serves the entire West Palm Beach area, in the state of Florida. It operates with domestic flights and international destinations in Canada and the Caribbean.

Number of Terminals - 1 - Open 24 hours a day.
Annual passenger traffic: More than 6.2 million passengers went through it in 2016.
Tel: +1 561 471 7420. There are traveler aid centers in the center of the baggage reclaim hall and on level 2. Throughout the terminal there are also white courtesy phones to request information.

 

The airport is located 5 km (3 miles) to the southwest of West Palm Beach.

All transportation services are found on level 1, in the baggage reclaim area.

Bus - Line 44 from Palm Tran (Tel +1 561 841 4200) leaves from the airport to the city centre (20-minute trip) and Vista Center, Drexel Plaza, Century Village, PBC Library, Palm Beach Kennel Club, Centre Park, West Palm Beach Intermodal Transit Center, Howard Park and Kravis Center. It operates Mondays through Fridays between 6:00 am and 7:00 pm, Saturday from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sunday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Route 42 operates on weekdays from 7:30 am to 7:00 pm between the enclosure and West Palm Beach Intermodal Transit Center, CareerSource and Centre Park. The fare is USD2.00.
At the east end of the luggage recollection hall there is a desk from SuperShuttle (Tel +1 800 258 3826), where you can book shared-van trips inside the area.

Train - There are shuttles that connect the airport with West Palm Beach Station, from where Tri-Rail trains (Tel +1 800 874 7245) depart to Miami (fare: USD6.90; journey time: approximately 2 hours). Other stops include Lake Worth, Boca Raton, Cypress Creek, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Golden Glades and Opa-Locka.
At the station there are also services from Amtrak (Tel +1 800 872 7245) heading to New York, Washington DC, Charleston, Savannah, Jacksonville, Orlando and Tampa.

Taxi - Vehicles from ExecuCar (Tel +1 800 410 4444), Imperial Transportation (Tel +1 561 689 3663) and Yellow Cab (Tel +1 561 777 7777) available at both ends of terminal level 1. The trip to the city centre takes around 15 minutes.

The airport has ATMs, postal, fax and copying services, charging stations and free Wi-Fi access. The Holiday Inn hotel situated nearby has business and conference facilities. The Delta Sky Club is located in concourse C, opposite gate 4, and opens from 4:30 am to 7:15 pm (until 4:30 pm on Saturdays); it offers Wi-Fi, charging stations, reading material, meals, bar (accessible with Delta Sky Club membership, first or business class passengers from Delta Air Lines and SkyTeam airlines, or by paying at the door - USD59.00).

Food and Drinks- Restaurants, pizza shops, fast food outlets, coffee shops and bars on the second level and concourses B and C.
Shopping- There are newsagents, gift shops, accessories, apparel, toys, books and magazines, electronics.
Baggage- Carts available for USD5.00 in the luggage recollection hall. The lost and found office is situated in the central area of the terminal and operates from Monday to Friday between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm (Tel +1 561 687 5906).

Long Term - Indoor and outdoor spaces.
Economy - Lot situated 5 minutes away from the terminal, with complimentary shuttle service.

 

Inside the enclosure there are elevators, relief areas for service animals, adapted telephones and restrooms. Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should inform their airline about their needs in advance. Children traveling alone should be accompanied by a responsible adult until boarding.
