LaGuardia Airport, opened on October 15, 1939, is one of the busiest in the country and, together with Newark and JFK airports, serves the entire metropolitan area of New York and New Jersey. It operates with domestic destinations and international flights to Canada and the Caribbean.

Number of Terminals - 4 - Terminals A (Marine Air Terminal), B (Central Terminal Buidling), C and D, open from 4:00 am to 0:00 am. They are linked to each other and to the parking lots through a courtesy shuttle service. Terminals C and D are also connected via a walkway.

Bus - There are buses from MTA (Tel 511 / +1 888 465 1169) to Queens and Manhattan (journey time: around 100 minutes), with connections to different New York City subway lines. They leave from terminals B, C and D and tickets have a cost of USD2.75. Route M60 links the airport with Queens (Astoria), Manhattan, Bronx, Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Connecticut; line Q70 heads to Queens, Manhattan and Long Island, via Jackson Heights and Woodside; Q72 to Elmhurst, Corona and Rego Park; Q48 to Corona and Flushing. On the other hand, line Q47 departs from Terminal A to Glendale Atlas Park Mall, through Jackson Heights.
NYC Airporter (Tel +1 718 777 5111) operates from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm and travels to Grand Central Terminal, Times Square and Port Authority Bus Terminal. Journey time is approximately 1 hour and the fare is USD16.00. It also runs to Newark (USD29.00) and JFK (USD17.00) airports. Company counters are found in the baggage reclaim areas.

Taxi - Ranks are situated in front of all terminals. The trip to downtown Manhattan takes around 30-50 minutes.

Long-Term Parking / B Wait Area - Close to Terminal A, for longer stays. The first 3 hours have no charge.

Inside the enclosure there are reserved parking spaces near the entrances to the terminals, accessible drinking fountains, ramps, elevators, adapted restrooms and telephones, and relief areas for service animals.
