Layover guide. Sleeping facilities in the public zone or boarding area
Spending the night at the airport
Newark airport is open 24 hours a day and has several things to keep you entertained while you wait for your flight departure. If you decide to spend the night inside the enclosure, keep in mind that the security staff will ask you to head for the public area of the terminals once the security controls close until the next day. If your flight is cancelled due to inclement weather, the airport crew can provide you with sleeping cots and blankets.
Where to rest: There are generally not many seats, so it is best to be prepared to sleep on the floor. The prayer room of Terminal C has long benches where you may lay down. In terminals A and B you will find VIP lounges with more amenities, but these are closed at night. SEE VIP LOUNGES Inside the airport grounds is located a hotel.
Baggage: Left luggage service in the baggage reclaim area of Terminal C.
Eating and drinking: Options open 24 hours a day in terminals B and C.
Restrooms: Showers only inside some of the VIP lounges.
Wi-Fi: Free and unlimited.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, baby changing facilities.
Inside the airport grounds is found the Newark Liberty International Airport Marriott. There are many alternatives nearby, usually with courtesy shuttles to and from the enclosure. In the baggage reclaim halls there are courtesy phones to make reservations.
