Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, opened on January 13, 1974, is one of the busiest in the world, as it receives many connections from domestic flights, and it also operates with destinations around the globe.

Number of Terminals - 5 - Terminals A, B, C, D and E, open 24 hours a day. There are two free services that link the terminals: the Skylink rapid train, operating around the clock, with two stations in each terminal and a journey time of less than 5 minutes, and the Terminal Link shuttle bus, with stops outside the baggage reclaim area of every terminal, from 5:00 am to 0:00 am.
Annual passenger traffic: More than 65.6 million passengers went through it in 2016.

The airport is located 29 km (18 miles) to the northwest of Dallas and 39 miles (24 miles) northeast from Fort Worth.

Bus - City Shuttle (Tel +1 214 760 1998), SuperShuttle DFW (Tel +1 972 456 3128) and Go Yellow Checker Shuttle (Tel +1 214 841 1900) provide daily transport to downtown Dallas and Fort Worth, including the main hotels. Fares are around USD15.00-19.00 and buses depart from the upper level of each terminal. There are also several private operators offering trips to different destinations.

Train - The Orange Line from DART (Tel +1 214 979 1111) operates from 4:00 am to 1:00 am from the station located on the lower level of Terminal A. A two-hour pass costs USD2.50, while a daily ticket has a cost of USD5.00. The train stops at Irving Convention Center, Bachman, Burbank, Market Center, West End, Fair Park, LBJ/Central Station, Galatyn Park and Parker Road.
On the other hand, Trinity Railway Express (Tel +1 817 215 8600) has a service from Monday to Saturday between 5:00 am and 11:00 pm to downtown Dallas and Fort Worth, with stops at T&P Station, Richland Hills, Bell, Irving, Victory Station and Union Station. The fare is USD2.50 and the journey takes around 25 minutes. Courtesy buses leave every 15 min. to the station from the South Parking Lot.

Taxi - Ranks are found on the upper level of terminals A, B, C and E and on the ground floor of Terminal D. An assistant is available between 8:00 am and 0:00 am. The trip to downtown Dallas takes 25-30 minutes and to Fort Worth it takes 30-40 min. The car rental center is found near the south entrance of the airport. A free shuttle service departs from the lower level of the terminals every 5 minutes and reaches the facility in 10 min.

The airport has currency exchange bureaus, ATMs, mail and fax services, VIP lounges, charging and workstations, public telephones and free Wi-Fi access. The Grand Hyatt hotel, inside the enclosure, has meeting rooms.

Food and Drinks- There is a wide offer of local and international cuisine restaurants, confectioneries, fast food outlets, pizza places, bars, snack bars, coffee shops and icecream stores inside the enclosure. Qdoba, next to gate A16, is open 24 hours a day.
Shopping- Duty-free shops by gates D14 and D27. Throughout the terminals you can also find accessories, souvenirs, clothing, cosmetics, perfumes, jewellery, sweets, toys, liquor, books, newspapers, electronics, sports and convenience stores.
Baggage- Carts available inside all terminals. The lost and found office is situated next to gate E4 of Terminal E (Tel +1 972 973 4220).
Other Services- Children's play area, pharmacy, spas, hairdresser's, chapels, beauty and massage lounges, nursing rooms, pet hotel, shoeshines, yoga rooms, showers.

Terminal - Areas situated next to each terminal, with covered spaces and a digital guidance system.
Express - Two sectors located at the north and south ends of the airport, with covered and outdoor spaces and direct shuttle bus service to all terminals.
Remote - Closed and uncovered spaces near the south and north entrances to the enclosure. Shuttles to the terminals every 15 minutes, from 5:00 am to 0:30 am.

 

Facilities include designated parking spaces, adapted telephones and restrooms, relief areas for service animals. The individual airlines can provide wheelchairs. The transportation services in and around the airport have accessible vehicles.

 

The Grand Hyatt DFW (Tel +1 972 973 1234) is found inside Terminal D, while the Hyatt Regency DFW International Airport (Tel +1 972 453 1234) is situated adjacent to Terminal C and the Hyatt Place DFW (Tel +1 972 574 1234) at the south end of the grounds.
