Columbus airport (CMH) 

 

John Glenn Columbus International Airport, opened on July 8, 1929, serves the metropolitan area of Columbus and most of the state of Ohio. It operates with domestic flights and international destinations in Mexico, Canada and Dominican Republic.

Annual passenger traffic: More than 7.2 million passengers went through it in 2016.

The airport is located 10 km (6 miles) to the east of the business district of Columbus.

Bus - The AirConnect from COTA (Tel +1 614 228 1776) departs every 30 minutes from outside the departures level to the Convention Center and the Transit Terminal in Columbus. It operates from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. The trip takes around 25 min. and tickets cost USD2.75. Line 7 goes to King Arts Complex, VA Ambulatory Care Center and Easton Transit Center, while the OSU/Airport service runs to Ohio Union, North Dorms, Drake Union and South Dorms only during school breaks; both of them have a fare of USD2.00. More information
On the other hand, GoBus (Tel +1 888 954 6287) offers transportation to the city centre, Lancaster/Carroll, Logan, Nelsonville, Athens, Coolville, Marietta and Parkersburg. There are also private operators that provide transfers to different locations.

The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureau, charging stations, public telephones and Wi-Fi access free of charge. In Concouse C there is a business center with fax, photocopying and internet services and conference rooms. The Jake Brewer USO Lounge is located next to the entrance to concourse C and opens Mondays through Fridays between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm and weekends from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm; it provides computers with internet access, TV, children's area, refreshments (accessible for military and their families).

Food and Drinks- Throughout the enclosure there are several restaurants and fast food outlets.
Shopping- Options include souvenirs, accessories, clothing, sweets, books, sport goods.
Baggage- Carts available in the terminal and the parking areas for USD4.00. The lost and found office is located on the mezzanine level, over the food court, and opens Mondays through Fridays between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm (Tel +1 614 239 5035).

Garage - Six-storey facility attached to the terminal through walkways. Short-term spaces on levels 4 and 5, and for long stays on levels 3 to 6.
Green, Red & Blue Shuttle Lots - Covered and uncovered bays for long stays. Connected to the main building via a 24-hour shuttle service.
