Hollywood Burbank Airport, opened on May 30, 1930, is one of the air terminals that serves the metropolitan area of Los Angeles. It operates with domestic flights, mainly to destinations in the Mid-West and West of the country.

Location

The airport is located 5 km (3 miles) northwest from Burbank's financial center and 20 km (12 miles) to the north of Los Angeles.

Car rental desks are found in the Regional Intermodal Transportation Center (RITC), connected to the terminals through an elevated walkway next to the valet parking center.

The airport has ATMs, public telephones and free Wi-Fi access. The Marriott and Hilton hotels situated nearby have business and conference facilities.

Food and Drinks- Both terminals have restaurants, coffee shops and bars.
Shopping- Options include souvenirs, newspapers and magazines, sweets, accessories, cosmetics.
Baggage- Porter services at the entrance of Terminal A. The lost and found office is situated in the Arrivals area of Terminal B and operates Mondays through Fridays between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm (Tel +1 818 729 2231).

Bus - Line 169 from Metro (Tel +1 323 466 3876) goes to the city centre on weekdays, stopping at Kaiser Foundation Hospital, Panorama Mall, Van Nuys airport and station, Fallbrook Shopping Center, Warner Center Transit Hub and Canoga Station. Routes 94 and 794 travel to Sun Valley, Burbank, Glendale and Sylmar stations. Bus 222 operates every day between the airport and Sun Valley Station, Regional Intermodal Transportation Center, Hollywood Bowl, Vine and Highland stations, and several film studios. Line 165 runs to Fallbrook Center, Westfield, Van Nuys and Burbank Station. The fare is USD1.75.
On the other hand, the NoHo-Airport service from BurbankBus (Tel +1 818 246 4258) has a cost of USD1.00 and runs from Monday to Friday every 15-45 minutes to North Hollywood Station and the city centre, between 5:33 am and 10:23 pm. On the weekends there are complimentary shuttles to the downtown Metrolink station (Tel +1 818 558 3179 / 800 224 7767).
Prime Time Shuttle (Tel +1 800 733 8267), Roadrunner Shuttle (Tel +1 800 247 7919) and SuperShuttle (Tel +1 800 660 6042) offer door-to-door minibus services from in front of the terminals.

Train - From the airport's south station depart trains from Metrolink (Tel +1 800 371 5465) that run to downtown Burbank, Glendale, Union Station, Van Nuys, Northridge, Chatsworth, Camarillo, Oxnard and East Ventura. On the other hand, at the north station you can board services to downtown Burbank, Glendale, Union Station, Sun Valley, Newhall, Santa Clarita, Palmdale and Lancaster. Journey time to the city centre is 5 minutes and has a cost of USD2.00-2.50.
There are also services from Amtrak Pacific Surfliner (Tel +1 800 872 7245) to San Luis Obispo, Santa Barbara, Van Nuys, Los Angeles, Anaheim, Santa Ana and San Diego, among other destinations.

Taxi - Ranks are situated on the island across from Terminal B. Companies present at the enclosure are: City Cab (Tel +1 818 848 1000), United Taxi (Tel +1 800 892 8294) and Yellow Cab & Checker Cab (Tel +1 800 750 4400). The trip to the city centre takes between 30 and 40 minutes.
