Guadalajara airport (GDL) 

 

Guadalajara Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla International Airport, opened in 1966, is one of the most important in Mexico and in Latin America. It operates with domestic flights and international destinations in the United States and Central America.

Number of Terminals - 1 - The terminal is divided into two concourses, A and C, open 24 hours a day and situated within walking distance of each other.

The airport is located 16 km (10 miles) to the south of the city of Guadalajara.

Bus - Autotransportes Guadalajara Chapala (Tel +52 333 619 5675) runs to the city centre in about 35 minutes, with departures every hour outside the terminal. In addition, Shuttle Gdl (Tel +52 333 615 2855 / 8533) provides shared transport with a frequency of 30 min. to Minerva. It operates from 4:30 am to 0:30 am.

Taxi - Cabs can be booked 24 hours a day at the counters found in the Arrivals Halls (Tel +52 333 688 6002 / 5890). The trip to the city centre takes approximately 30 minutes.

The airport has a bank, currency exchange bureaus, ATMs, VIP lounges, public telephones and Wi-Fi access free of charge.

Food and Drinks- In both terminals you can find restaurants, coffee shops, fast food outlets, pizza places and bars. Krispy Kreme, Break Station and El Quijote are open 24 hours a day.
Shopping- Duty-free stores in the international sector, souvenirs, clothing, accessories, jewellery, books, music, newspapers and magazines.

There are short- and long-term parking bays, covered and uncovered, opposite both terminals. They operate around the clock and are fully automated. They have a smart guidance system to locate free spaces and are connected to the main buildings through pedestrian accesses. Rates
