General Pedro José Méndez International Airport, opened in 1965, serves the state of Tamaulipas. It basically operates with domestic flights to and from Mexico City.

The airport has ATMs. Aeromar passengers can access the Salón Diamante lounge, situated in the Departures area and open during flights hours; it offers Wi-Fi, TV, bar, snacks, newspapers and magazines.

Taxi - Vehicles available in front of the main exit from the terminal. Fares depend on the area of the city you are travelling to and the type of service you hire (private or shared). The trip to the city centre takes around 25 minutes.
