Toronto Pearson International Airport, opened on August 29, 1939, is the most important in Canada and one of the busiest in the world. It serves the Toronto area, the entire Ontario province and most of the country. It operates with domestic flights and numerous international destinations throughout the globe.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminal 1 and Terminal 3. Open 24 hours a day. The Terminal Link train operates around the clock every 4-8 minutes and offers free transportation between the terminals, the Sheraton Gateway Hotel, ALT Hotel, Viscount Station and the Value Park parking lots. Stops are located on level 5 of the Terminal 1 garage and on the bridge between Terminal 3 and the Sheraton Gateway Hotel.
Annual passenger traffic: More than 44.3 million passengers went through it in 2016.

The airport is situated 27 km (16 miles) to the northwest of Toronto.

Bus - The enclosure is located close to many major routes, so it is easy to travel to any destination inside the city by using the different public transport services. There are also shuttle services provided by several private companies that run to different destinations throughout Ontario and some cities in the United States, such as Buffalo and Detroit. Stops and reservation desks are found on the ground floor of Terminal 1 and the Arrivals level of Terminal 3.

Train - The Union Pearson Express (Tel +1 416 869 3300) heads to Union Station, in downtown Toronto, from 5:30 am to 1:00 am, with a frequency of 15 minutes. Journey time is 25 min. and stops include Weston and Bloor. Customer service counter on the Arrivals level of Terminal 1.

Taxi - Ranks are located at gates C and D of Terminal 1, and gates D, E and F of Terminal 3. Cabs operate with fixed fares and the trip to the city centre takes 40-45 minutes.

The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureaus, postboxes, VIP lounges, charging stations, public telephones and Wi-Fi access free of charge. The Sheraton Gateway Hotel, situated next to Terminal 3, offers a fully-equipped business centre and a meeting room.

Food and Drinks- There is a good selection of restaurants, coffee shops, fast food outlets and bars in both terminals, some of them open 24 hours a day: A&W, Booster Juice, Extreme Pita, Purblendz, Starbucks, Subway, Swiss Chalet, Tim Hortons, Wendy's.
Shopping- Numerous stores are available inside the enclosure, including duty-free shops post-security, convenience stores, boutiques, clothing, accessories, newsagents, cosmetics, jewellery, sweets.
Baggage- Free luggage carts inside the terminals and parking lots. Secure wrapping in the International Arrivals area of both terminals, from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm (Tel +1 305 423 0164 / 866 598 4264). Left luggage service on level 3 of Terminal 1 and level 2 of Terminal 3, from 5:00 am to 1:00 am and from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm, respectively (Tel +1 416 776 1313 / 4708). Valet Care - Immediately outside the Departures area, with valet parking service. It operates from 4:30 am to 10:30 pm.
Express Park - Located next to the Departures level of Terminal 1, for stays of up to 3 hours.
Daily Park - Two sectors situated across from the terminals, with valet parking service, ideal for stays of one day or more.
Value Park Garage - Covered parking, linked to the terminals via the free Terminal Link train.
Viscount Station Reserved Lot - Served by the Terminal Link, adjacent to Viscount Station.
Value Park Lot - Outdoor, economy area with free train service to the terminals.

In both terminals there are elevators, access ramps, adapted toilets and telephones. All parking lots provide reserved spaces. Public transport companies have accessible vehicles. The Sheraton Gateway Hotel (Tel +1 905 672 7000) is connected to Terminal 3 through a climate-controlled walkway. Near the airport there are other alternatives, some of which provide shuttle services for their guests.
