Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport, also known as Toronto Island Airport and opened on September 8, 1939, is one of the air terminals that serves the Toronto area and the Ontario province. It operates with domestic flights and some destinations in the United States.

Hertz (Tel +1 416 203 0386 / 800 263 0600) has a counter on the lower level of the terminal, next to the baggage reclaim area (7:00 am to 11:00 pm from Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on Saturdays, 9:00 am to 11:00 pm on Sundays).
Enterprise/National offices (Tel +1 416 208 5036) are found at the parking lot in Eireann Quay (7:00 am to 10:30 pm Mondays through Fridays, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays, 11:00 am to 6:00 pm on Sundays).

Bus - There is a complimentary express shuttle service between the airport's ferry terminal and Union Station, in the city centre. It has a frequency of 15 minutes and journey time is approximately 15 min. It operates between 5:00 am and 0:07 am on weekdays, from 5:00 am to 8:45 pm on Saturdays and from 5:30 am to 0:07 am on Sundays.

Metro - Line 511 Bathurst from TTC (Tel +1 416 393 4636) runs to Bathurst Station and Exhibition Loop. Line 509 Harbourfront travels to Union Station, Queens Quay West and Exhibition Loop. Both have stops near the airport's ferry terminal and operate every 10 minutes. More information

Ferry - They depart every 15 minutes from the airport to the ferry terminal, located on Bathurst Street (90 seconds trip). The service is free for pedestrians. The first ferry leaves at 5:22 am and the last at 0:07 am. Timetable

Taxi - Cabs available outside the ferry terminal, on the mainland. The trip to downtown Toronto takes 10-20 minutes.

Facilities include elevators, an assistance telephone on the ground floor of the ferry terminal and reserved parking spaces. Individual airlines can provide wheelchairs, escort services, transport within the airport and assistance through check-in and while boarding and descending from the plane.
