General José María Yáñez International Airport, also known as Guaymas International Airport and opened in 1974, serves part of the state of Sonora. It mainly operates with domestic flights.

The airport is located 7 km (4 miles) north from the city of Guaymas.

Taxi - Ranks are located at the exit from the airport. The trip to the city centre takes approximately 15 minutes.
