Capitán FAP José Abelardo Quiñones Gonzáles International Airport, opened on April 16, 1956, serves the city of Chiclayo, the Lambayeque department and most of the northern region of the country. It operates with domestic and international flights to Panama, and is used as support for Lima Airport when under bad weather conditions.

Inside the passenger terminal, there are offices from Rent a Car 3B (Tel +51 74 453 304 / +511 979 685 374), available from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
The Caral VIP Lounge, available only for domestic flights, is located to the right after the security check and opens from 6:00 am to 0:00 am, with a maximum stay of 4 hours; it provides computers, refreshments, drinks, TV, air conditioning, newspapers and magazines, Wi-Fi (accessible with Priority Pass, Lounge Club or Diners Club membership, through online booking or by paying at the door - USD25.00).
