Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, opened on March 9, 1958, is the largest in Kenya and serves not only the capital, but the whole country. It operates with domestic and international flights to destinations in Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminal 1 (domestic and international flights) and Terminal 2 (low-cost flights). Open 24 hours a day. Terminal 1 is divided into several units (1A, 1B, 1C, 1D), connected to a central building via covered walkways and to Terminal 2 through free shuttles.
Annual passenger traffic: 7 million passengers went through it in 2018.

Bus - Line 34 travels every 20 minutes to the city centre, stopping at the Hilton and Ambassador hotels. It operates from 6:00 am to 9:00 pm and journey time is about 45 min. There are also Citi Hoppa minibuses to and from the city.
Riverside Shuttle (Tel +254 722 328 595; Fares) operates between Nairobi, Arusha and Moshi, in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania, and stops at the airport. The trip must be booked in advance.
Taxi - Cabs provided by Kenatco Taxis (Tel +254 709 642 000). Ranks are located outside the Arrivals Hall and there is a counter to hire a cab for a fixed price at the entrance. The trip to downtown Nairobi takes 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic.
