Exeter Airport, opened on May 31, 1937, is an airstation in the United Kingdom that serves the metropolitan area of Exeter, in England. It operates with domestic and international flights to several main destinations in Europe, many of them seasonal.

The airport has ATMs and free Wi-Fi access. Inside the enclosure there is also a room for conferences and meetings. The Executive Lounge, in the Departures area, provides complimentary drinks and snacks, newspapers and magazines, Wi-Fi, air conditioning, TV; open since the first flight of the day until the last, with a maximum stay of 3 hours (access with Priority Pass, DragonPass or Diners Club membership, through online booking or by paying at the door - £20.00).

Public and private transportation

Bus - Line 56 from Stagecoach (Tel +44 139 242 7711) runs to the city bus terminal, Exeter St. Davids train station and Exmouth, with intermediate stops at Greendale Business Park, Woodbury and Lympstone. It operates Mondays through Fridays between 4:50 am and 11:45 pm, Saturdays from 5:20 am to 11:45 pm and Sundays from 7:15 am to 7:35 pm. Journey time is 30 minutes and the fare is £2.60.

Taxi - The official operator is Apple Central Taxis (Tel +44 139 266 6666), with cabs outside the Arrivals area and a desk inside the terminal. The trip to downtown Exeter takes about 20 minutes.

P1 & P2 - Short-term car parks in front of the terminal.
P3 & P4 - Long-term lots with shuttle services to the main building. The first 10 minutes in P3 are free.

 

Services for passengers with special needs

Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should inform their airline or travel agency about their needs at the time of booking or at least 48 hours in advance. There are reserved parking spaces, ramps, automatic doors, accessible counters, ambulifts to board the plane, adapted toilets, contrasting signage, Braille instructions and induction loops.
