Spending the night at the airport
Although Stansted airport is open 24 hours a day, there are not many comforts for layover passengers. In addition, it is small, very crowded and bright, so it is recommended to have a sleeping mask, headphones or earplugs. It is possible that some areas of the terminal will be closed at night.
Where to rest: There are some seats inside the terminal, especially comfortable in the boarding hall, but they are not enough, and it is even prohibited to lay on some of them, so you will probably have to sleep on the floor. However, airport policies do not allow the use of sleeping bags or other similar equipment. In the International Departures area there is a VIP lounge with more amenities, but it closes at night. On the other hand, you can find a couple of hotels that are connected to the terminal.
Baggage: Luggage storage available 24 hours a day in the International Arrivals Hall.
Eating and drinking: The only options open during the night are located after the security checkpoint.
Wi-Fi: Free for 4 hours.
Other services available around the clock: ATMs, secure luggage wrapping, chapels, baby changing facilities.
