Exeter Airport, opened on May 31, 1937, is an airstation in the United Kingdom that serves the metropolitan area of Exeter, in England. It operates with domestic and international flights to several main destinations in Europe, many of them seasonal.

The airport is located in the district of Devon, 6 km (3.5 miles) to the east of the city of Exeter.

Bus - Line 56 from Stagecoach (Tel +44 139 242 7711) runs to the city bus terminal, Exeter St. Davids train station, and Exmouth, with intermediate stops at Greendale Business Park and Woodbury Square. Journey time is 30 minutes and the fare is £2.40. On Sundays and holidays the services go to Honiton train station, Heathfield and Sidmouth.

Train - The closest stations are located inside the city and provide services to different cities around the country: Exeter St. Davids - London Paddington, Plymouth, Cornwall, North & South Devon, Exmouth; Exeter Central - London Waterloo, North & South Devon, Exmouth; Tiverton Parkway - London Paddington; Digby & Sowton - Exeter St. Davids, North & South Devon, Exmouth; Honiton - London Waterloo.

Taxi - The official operator is Apple Central Taxis (Tel +44 139 266 6666), with cabs outside the Arrivals area and a desk inside the terminal. The fare to downtown Exeter is around £14.00.

The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureau, public telephones and free Wi-Fi access. Inside the enclosure there is also a room for conferences and meetings. The Executive Lounge, in the Departures area, provides comfortable seating, complimentary drinks and snacks, newspapers and magazines, Wi-Fi; open since the first flight of the day until the last.

Food and Drinks- In the public area there is a coffee shop, while in the Departures lounge there is a restaurant and a bar.
Shopping- Duty-free shop in the Departures area, books, newspapers, magazines, sweets, accessories.
Baggage- Lost and found office next to the Arrivals area, from Monday to Friday between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm (Tel +44 139 235 4909).

P1 & P2 - Short-term car parks in front of the terminal.
P3 & P4 - Long-term lots with shuttle services to the main building. The first 10 minutes in P4 are free.


Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should inform their airline or travel agency about their needs at the time of booking or at least 48 hours in advance. There are reserved parking spaces, ramps, automatic doors, accessible counters, ambulifts to board the plane, adapted toilets, contrasting signage, Braille instructions and induction loops. Children between 6 and 12 years old are eligible to be carried unaccompanied.
