Durham Tees Valley Airport, opened on April, 1964, serves County Durham, Teesside and part of North Yorkshire, in Northeastern England. It operates with domestic destinations and international flights to the Netherlands.

The airport is located 10 km (6 miles) to the east of Darlington, 16 km (10 miles) southwest from Middlesbrough and 39 km (24 miles) to the south of Durham.

Bus - Line 12 from Arriva (Tel +44 344 800 4411) links Darlington with the airport in about 35 minutes, from Monday to Friday between 7:30 am and 6:20 pm and Saturdays from 8:00 am to 6:10 pm. Other stops include Middleton, Morton Park, Eastbourne and Hurworth-on-Tees. Timetable and fares

Train - The closest station is in Darlington, with services to different destinations, such as Durham, York and Newcastle.

Taxi - 1AB Taxis (Tel +44 132 535 4444 / 132 528 2828) provides cabs from outside the Arrivals area. There is also a reservation counter inside the terminal. The trip to Darlington takes 20 minutes and to Durham 35 min.
