Doncaster Sheffield Airport, also known as Robin Hood Airport and opened on April 28, 2005, is the most modern in the United Kingdom and serves the area of South Yorkshire. It operates with domestic flights and international destinations to cities in Europe and the Caribbean.

The airport is located 6 km (4 miles) to the southeast of Doncaster and 29 km (18 miles) northeast from Sheffield.

Bus - Line X4 from First South Yorkshire (Tel +44 170 956 6000) operates every 30 minutes (every hour on Sundays) and runs to Doncaster Interchange. The trip takes around 25 min. and the fare is £3.00. It leaves between 5:50 am and 0:00 am (Sundays from 7:30 am).
The 737 service from Stagecoach (Tel +44 122 620 2555) travels to Wickersley, Bramley and Sheffield Interchange in around 45 min., with departures from 5:25 pm to 10:45 pm.

Taxi - Cabs from Little Arrows (Tel +44 130 262 5555) available 24 hours a day outside the Arrivals area. The company also has a counter inside the terminal. Journey time to Doncaster is 15 minutes, and to Sheffield 30 min.

The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureaus (5:00 am to 8:00 pm), internet kiosks and Wi-Fi access free of charge for 30 minutes. The airport's staff offers help in transporting your luggage, getting through the different controls and moving around the enclosure.
