The new airport of Istanbul Arnavutköy, inaugurated on October 29, 2018, is the new international airport replacing the old airport of Ataturk. It is scheduled to operate domestic flights and international flights around the world and over 2019 will be moving the airlines from old Ataturk to the new airport. Its contruction was planned to handle in the future up to 200 millon passengers per year, being one of the biggest in the world.

Number of Terminals - 1 - Divided in five concourses lettered A, B, D, F, G. Concourse G, which is located in the southeast, is reserved solely for domestic flights, as well as the eastern side of Concourse F which is directly to the north of Concourse G. Concourses A, B, and D are used for international flights. The C and E concourses are connect directly to the main terminal and are therefore not independent concourses.

The new airport is at the intersection of roads to Arnavutköy, Göktürk, and Çatalca, north of the Istanbul city centre and between the Black Sea coast towns of Yeniköy, Tayakadın and Akpınar The airport is about 54 km (33.6 miles) from istanbul city center.
All car rental offices are located at the domestic terminal, to the landside at the arrivals floor.

Taxis - Taxi service is offered at the Istanbul Airport 24/7, thereby covering both flight times as well as all periods outside of flight schedules. Three types of taxis are utilized for this service, comprised of black “E” type, blue “D” type, and orange “C” type taxis.
Passengers desiring to use the taxi service can access these vehicles at the main stations located in the Plaza Section’s Domestic and International Arrivals areas, as well as the Departures floor and the Other Arrivals floor. The journey time to Istanbul city centre is about 1 hour.
Buses and shuttles
IETT (of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality) and Istanbul Otobüs A.Ş. (private) provide public transport services for passengers and visitors of Istanbul Airport.
The municipal buses operate on a regular fixed route departing from Halkalı, Mecidiyeköy and Atatürk Airport stops. In addition, İstanbul Otobüs A.Ş. buses provide luxury transportation service for passengers and luggage on a regular fixed route departing from Taksim, Kozyatağı, Yenikapı, July 15th Democracy Bus Terminal and Tüyap. YOTEL, will be responsible for operating the new airport hotel in the main terminal building, conveniently located on the departures level and right next to passport control. The new hotel will be ideal for both business and leisure travellers, as well as airline crew and other businesses within the airport and local environment.
The car park has a capacity up to 40.000 vehicles, providing valet and vehicle maintenance services beyond the service level standards of international airports.
Multi-storey car park: It has a capacity up to 18,000 vehicles and consists of 5 blocks. One block is formed of 3 floors and 4 blocks are formed of 7 floors.
There are 3 Valet Car Receiving points in total: one for each at departures floor of domestic and international terminals, and one at CIP.
There are 2 Valet Car Delivery Points between Plaza Venue and Car Park, one for each at domestic and international terminals.
Central Services include car wash and detailing, tire change and tire bank, mini maintenance, fuelling and Authorized Services.

The airport has tactile surfaces and proper signage, moving walkways, escalators, designated parking spaces, induction loops, adapted restrooms with automatic doors and lighting, especially designed seats, handrails, ramps, accessible public telephones and counters. Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should inform their airline about their needs 48 hours prior the flight.
