Ankara airport (ESB) 

 

Ankara Esenboga International Airport, opened in 1955, is one of the most important in Turkey. It operates with domestic destinations and international flights within Europe and the Middle East.

The airport is located in the village of Esenboga, 28 km (17 miles) northeast from Ankara.

Bus - Line 442 from EGO Genel Müdürlügü (Tel +90 312 507 1000) leaves approximately every 20 minutes from in front of the Arrivals Hall and runs to Ankara intercity bus terminal (ASTI), Kizilay (the city centre), Ulus (the historical centre) and Güvenpark. Tickets can be purchased on the bus. Journey time is 45 min. Timetables and rates

Taxi - Esenboga Taxi (Tel +90 312 398 089 798 / 312 398 0000 ext. 1258) provides vehicles around the clock outside the Arrivals and Departures Halls. The trip to the city centre takes 30-40 minutes.

The airport has a bank, ATMs, currency exchange bureaus, postal services, VIP lounges, conference and meeting rooms, public telephones and pre-paid Wi-Fi access.

Food and Drinks- There are coffee shops, restaurants and fast food outlets in the Arrivals and Departures areas. Vadi Cafe, Teras Cafe, Caffe Nero, Starbucks, Restro Eat'n Fly, Cakes & Bakes and Tadinda Anadolu open 24 hours a day.
Shopping- Duty-free items in the International Departures Hall, in addition to souvenir stands, newsagents and tobacconists, clothing and accessories.
Baggage- Luggage trolleys available. Secure wrapping 24 hours a day in the Departures areas (Tel +90 530 641 3806). 24-hour left luggage service in the Domestic Arrivals Hall (+90 312 398 2112). Lost and found office in the International Arrivals area, available from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm (Tel +90 312 590 4000 ext. 4388).

The terminal building has ramps and elevators, and there are accessible restrooms and telephones, automatic doors and reserved parking spaces. Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should inform their airline about their needs in advance.
