Stockholm Arlanda Airport, opened on April 1, 1962, is the most important in Sweden and one of the largest in Europe. It operates with domestic and international flights to the main destinations in Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Northern Africa and North America.

Number of Terminals - 4 - Terminals 2 and 5 for international flights, and terminals 3 and 4 for domestic flights. Open 24 hours a day and connected through free shuttle buses.

The airport is located 40 km (25 miles) to the north of Stockholm and 31 km (19 miles) southeast from Uppsala.
Avis/Budget (Tel +46 104 948 010 - Mondays through Fridays from 6:00 am to 0:00 am, Saturdays from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, Sundays from 7:00 am to 0:00 am), Europcar (Tel +46 770 770 050) and Hertz (Tel +46 771 211 212 - Mondays through Fridays from 6:00 am to 11:30 pm, Saturdays from 7:00 am to 9:30 pm, Sundays from 7:00 am to 11:30 pm) have offices in the car rental area, while Sixt (Tel +46 859 400 250 - weekdays from 7:00 am to 0:00 am, Saturdays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Sundays from 9:00 am to 0:00 am) is located in car park Alfa P3. All of them are connected to the terminals through courtesy shuttles.
Bus - Flygbussarna (Tel +46 771 515 252) provides transportation to downtown Stockholm every 10 min., with intermediate stops in Järva Krog, Frösunda, Haga Norra, Haga Södra, Norra Stationsgatan and Sankt Eriksplan. Journey time is 45 min. There are also services to Liljeholmen (50 min. trip) every 20 min., via Karolinska, Fridhemsplan and Hornstull; and to Bromma Airport (60 min.), with stops at Kista and Sundbybergs Torg.
Line 801 from Upplands Lokaltrafik (Tel +46 771 141 414) connects the enclosure with Uppsala twice an hour between 3:00 am and 0:00 am.
Stockholm Lokaltrafik (Tel +46 8600 1000) operates night routes 592 to downtown Stockholm and 593 between Uppsala and the city centre, stopping at Knivsta Station and Arlanda.
Nettbuss Bus4You (Tel +46 771 151 515) offers direct travels between the airport and Västerås, and then to Örebro and Karlstad.
There are also different services from Swebus (Tel +46 771 218 218): 866 - Enköping, Västerås, Örebro; 830 - Uppsala, Norrköping, Linköping, Jönköping, Gothenburg; 832 - Uppsala, Norrköping, Linköping, Jönköping, Malmö; 835 - Kalmar, Västervik, Norrköping, Uppsala. Other destinations include Märsta, Rotebro, Östra Steninge, Knutby, Umeå, Sundsvall, Hudiksvall, Söderhamn.
Train - The high-speed, direct service Arlanda Express (Tel +46 771 720 200) runs to Stockholm central station in 20 minutes from 4:50 am to 1:05 am. It also provides transfers with no cost between terminals 2, 3 and 5.
Trains from Stockholm Lokaltrafik (Tel +46 8600 1000) to Stockholm (38 min. trip) and Uppsala (18 min.) leave from the SkyCity building, between terminals 4 and 5. In the same place you can catch long distance trains from SJ (Tel +46 771 757 575) and Tågkompaniet (Tel +46 771 444 111) to destinations in the Lake Mälaren Valley region and the Dalarna and Norrland counties, such as Uppsala, Södertälje, Gävle, Hudiksvall, Sundsvall, Östersund, Åre, Borlänge, Falun, Leksand, Mora, Nyköping, Norrköping, Linköping, Enköping, Eskilstuna, Falkenberg, Hallstahammar, Jönköping, Karlstad, Malmö, Uddevalla.
Taxi - Cabs available directly outside all terminals. As the market in Sweden is not regulated, companies can set prices freely, therefore you must choose the taxi operator that best suits you. Journey time to downtown Stockholm is 30-45 minutes.

Premium Parking - SkyCity - Close to terminals 4 and 5, with heated spaces.
P21 & P22 - Multi-storey facilities next to terminals 2 and 3.
P41 - Car park with several levels directly connected to Terminal 4.
P51 & P53 - Covered spaces in several levels situated close to Terminal 5.
P45 & P46 - Outdoor lots near Terminal 4.
P56 & P57 - A few meters away from Terminal 5, outdoors.
Contact your tour operator or airline in advance if you should require special assistance or wheelchairs. Passengers with reduced mobility are entitled to escort services through the airport and the passport and customs controls. There are reserved parking spaces, elevators, ramps, accessible restrooms and telephones, tactile flooring and induction loops. Unaccompanied minors between 5 and 11 years old will be escorted through the security checkpoint, the customs and passport controls, and supervised during the flight.
