Malmö Airport, opened on December 1, 1972, is one of the busiest in Sweden. It operates with domestic and international flights throughout Europe.

The airport is located 28 km (17.4 miles) to the east of Malmö, 26 km (16.2 miles) southeast from Lund, and 55 km (34.2 miles) away from Copenhagen.

Bus - Flygbussarna (Tel +46 771 515 252) connects the enclosure with the cities of Malmö and Lund, with a trip of 40-50 minutes to either destination. Intermediate stops include Jägersro, Persborg, Södervärn, Triangeln and Staffanstorp. Schedules correspond to flight arrivals and departures. Tickets can be acquired at automatic machines inside the terminal and at the stops, at the 7-Eleven and Pressbyrån shops, or at the airport's information counter. Buses from Neptunbus (Tel +45 6133 5023) leave 3 or 4 times a day for Copenhagen. Tickets must be booked at least 3 days in advance. More information

Taxi - Cabs available outside the terminal. All companies operating from the airport provide fixed fares, but these vary among the different operators, so you must choose the one that best suits you. The trip to the city centre takes 20-30 minutes.

The airport has currency exchange bureaus, ATMs, VIP lounges, public telephones, internet kiosks and Wi-Fi access free of charge for 3 hours. Inside the terminal there are also two rooms for meetings and conferences.

Food and Drinks- Restaurants, coffee shops and bars both before and after the security control.
Shopping- Duty-free items in the Departures Hall, convenience store in the public area, newsagents.
Baggage- For enquiries about lost or damaged luggage, head to the offices of the corresponding airline.
Other Services- Baby changing facilities, smoking lounges.

P1, P2, P3 - Outdoor areas for short and long stays.
P4 - Multi-storey facility adjacent to the terminal, with charging stations for electric vehicles.
P7 - Short-term parking lot across from the main building. The first 15 minutes have no charge.


Inform your airline or travel agency about your particular needs at the time of your booking or at least 48 hours in advance. Passengers that require it will be escorted from an agreed meeting point or from the check-in hall through the passport and customs controls. There are designated parking spaces in front of the terminal and in car parks P1 and P4. Unaccompanied minors between 5 and 11 years old will be assisted by the airport staff through the security checkpoint and while boarding the plane, and supervised during the flight by the airline crew.
