Vigo Airport, also known as Peinador Airport and opened on April 20, 1954, serves the Pontevedra province and the Galicia-North Portugal Euroregion. It operates with domestic flights and some international destinations in Europe.

Annual passenger traffic: More than 950,000 passengers went through it in 2016.

In the Arrivals Hall there is a tourist office, available on Mondays from 3:30 pm to 9:30 pm, Tuesdays through Fridays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 3:30 pm to 9:30 pm, and weekends from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm and from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm (Tel +34 986 804 100 / 886 211 700 ext. 51792).

The airport is located 9 km (6 miles) to the east of downtown Vigo and 28 km (18 miles) south from Pontevedra.

The airport has an ATM, postbox, public telephones and Wi-Fi access free of charge.

Food and Drinks- There are restaurants, coffee shops and vending machines on both levels.
Shopping- In the Departures area there is a multi-store with stationery items, press, toys, beverages, perfumes, electronics.
Baggage- Secure luggage wrapping in the check-in area. Lost property can be reclaimed at the airport's information booth, located in the central lobby (Tel +34 986 268 246 / 258).

Bus - Line L9A from Vitrasa (Tel +34 986 291 600) runs Mondays through Fridays to Plaza Eugenio Fadrique, and on weekends and holidays reaches García Barbón. It connects with the maritime station with no need for transfers. Other stops include Pino Manso, Urzáiz, Colón, Plaza Compostela, Berbés and Torrecedeira. The trip takes around 30 minutes and the fare is €1.32. It operates every 30 min. between 5:55 am and 11:07 pm from Monday to Friday, Saturdays from 6:40 am to 11:07 pm, and Sundays and holidays between 9:30 am and 11:07 pm. Taxi - All services that originate at the airport and finish at any location inside the cities of Vigo, Mos or Redondela have a fixed fare of €22.27. Prices are higher during the night (from 10:30 pm to 6:00 am), Saturdays from 3:00 pm, Sundays and holidays.
