La Palma Airport, opened on February 24, 1970, is the main means of communication with the outside of the island of the same name, which belongs to the Santa Cruz de Tenerife province, in the Canary Islands. It operates with domestic and international flights from Europe.

The airport is situated 8 km (5 miles) south from the city of Santa Cruz de La Palma, the capital of the island.

Bus - Transportes Insular La Palma (Tel +34 922 411 924 / 414 441) operates line 500 to Santa Cruz de la Palma and the tourist area of Los Cancajos. It departs every 30 minutes from in front of the Arrivals area, from 7:10 am to 10:40 pm. The fare to the city centre is €2.10. Timetable and route

Taxi - Ranks are located outside the Arrivals Hall. Avoid drivers offering their services outside this point. The minimum fare is €3.15 and extra charges apply for trips during the night (from 10:00 pm to 6:00 am), on weekends and holidays. The trip to the city centre takes around 10 minutes. The airport has Wi-Fi access free of charge. Meeting room on the first floor.

Food and Drinks- There are restaurants and coffee shops in the Departures area.
Shopping- A duty-free store is available on level 1, in addition to shops selling handicrafts, clothing and accessories, press, souvenirs.

The enclosure's car park is found on the underground level of the terminal and has spaces for short and long stays. Rates and reservations

 

Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs are advised to arrange the proper services with their airline or travel agent at the moment of their booking or at least 48 hours before their arrival. Most air companies offer escort services for children between 5 and 12 years old travelling alone. There are reserved parking spaces.
