Girona-Costa Brava Airport, opened on March 3, 1967, is an important airstation in Catalonia and serves the entire Costa Brava, extending for nearly 200 km to the French border. It also serves as an alternative for Barcelona airport. It operates with international flights to several destinations in Europe and Morocco.

The airport is situated 12 km (8 miles) southwest from Girona and 90 km (60 miles) northeast from Barcelona.

The airport has ATMs, mailbox, public telephones and Wi-Fi access free of charge. On the first floor of the terminal there is a meeting room.

Food and Drinks- There is a café in the Arrivals Hall, while restaurants and fast food outlets are available in the Departures area. The Food Gallery is open 24 hours a day. Throughout the ground floor you can find vending machines.
Shopping- Duty-free items and multi-store on the first level.
Baggage- For enquiries about lost property, head to the airport security office, in the technical building (Tel +34 972 186 787).

Bus - There are services from Sagalés (Tel +34 902 130 014) to Estació del Nord, in Barcelona, next to the Arco de Triunfo, with a cost of €16.00, and to Barcelona airport (€17.00). Vehicles leave 20-25 minutes after the arrival of every flight and journey time is approximately 75 min. The company also provides transportation to Girona bus station between 5:30 am and 11:30 pm. The trip takes 30 min. and tickets have a cost of €2.75. There are also travels to Costa Brava Sur, stopping at Lloret de Mar, Tossa de Mar, Blanes, Malgrat de Mar, Santa Susanna, Pineda de Mar, Calella, Sant Pol de Mar, Canet de Mar, Arenys de Mar, Sant Vicenç de Montalt, Sant Andreu de Llavaneres and Mataró.
TEISA (Tel +34 972 204 868) offers transfers to Lleida, passing through Vic, Manresa, Cervera and Tàrrega. The fare is €22.90 and travel time is 3 hours and 20 minutes.
Flixbus (Tel +39 294 759 208) links the enclosure with Perpignan and other French cities.

Taxi - Ranks are found in front of the Arrivals area. The official operator is Taxi Girona (Tel +34 972 203 377 / 222 323). The trip to Girona has a cost of €24.00-36.00 (20-25 minutes) and to Barcelona of €127.00 (80 min.) Extra charges apply for travelling between 8:00 pm and 8:00 am and on weekends.
