Passenger guide - Moscow Sheremetyevo airport (SVO) 

 

Moscow Sheremetyevo International Airport, opened on October 7, 1957, is the second largest in the city and one of the busiest in the country. It operates with domestic destinations and international flights to Europe, Asia, Northern Africa, the Caribbean and North America.

Number of Terminals - 5 - Terminals A (private and business flights), C (charter flights), D (Aeroflot and SkyTeam airlines flights), E and F (international flights). Open 24 hours a day. Terminals D, E and F are interconnected through galleries, while a free bus links them to Terminal C between 7:15 am and 11:15 pm.
Annual passenger traffic: Around 34 million passengers went through it in 2016.

The airport is located 29 km (18 miles) northwest from Moscow.

Bus - There are regular services to the city centre, with stops outside terminals C, D, E and F. Lines 949 and 851 travel to Rechnoy Vokzal metro station in 30-50 minutes, from 5:37 am to 0:49 am. Routes 817 and 948 connect the enclosure with Planernaya metro station in approximately the same time, with departures from 5:22 am to 0:18 am. Night bus H1 operates from 1:00 am to 5:30 am and heads for Leninskiy Prospect, with a trip of 30-40 min. On the other hand, line 62 departs every 20 min. from Terminal F, running to Khimki station; journey time is 30-40 min.

Train - The high-speed train Aeroexpress (Tel +7 800 700 3377) departs from the airport to Belorussky Station, in downtown Moscow, between 5:00 am and 0:30 am. The trip takes 35 minutes. A courtesy shuttle service leaves from the first floor of Terminal E to the airport's train station.

The trip to the city centre takes around 40 minutes.

The airport has banks, currency exchange bureaus, ATMs, post offices, fax, photocopying and mobile phone services, VIP lounges, charging stations, public telephones and Wi-Fi access free of charge. Business and conference facilities in Terminal A and the nearby Novotel.

Food and Drinks- Terminals C, D, E and F and the train station have cafés, local and international restaurants, fast food outlets and bars. Zhurfiks Café, on the third floor of Terminal E, is open 24 hours a day.
Shopping- Inside the four main terminals there are duty-free shops and stores selling gifts, press, jewellery, flowers, electronics, accessories, clothing, perfumes, mini-markets.
Baggage- Free trolleys. Porters in all terminals. Luggage wrapping in the Departures areas and on the third floor of the train station. Luggage storage around the clock (Tel +7 495 578 2391) on level 3 of Terminal C, the ground floor of Terminal D, the first floor of terminals E and F, and the second floor of the Aeroexpress building. Lost and found offices on the third floor of Terminal C (Tel +7 495 578 2326) and on level 1 of Terminal E (Tel +7 495 578 7464), open 24 hours a day.

Indigo - Multi-storey facility in front of Terminal C. 10 minutes of free stay.
Gallax - Situated across from the cargo terminal, with free shuttles to terminals D, E and F.
Park & Fly - Located next to the previous lot, with transfer service to all terminals.
TKS-Sher - Two car parks adjacent to the train station.
Park Line - For long stays, on the first two floors of the Aeroexpress building.
Parking Terminal F - It is found opposite that building.
Parking Terminal D - Multi-storey garage.

 

A variety of free assistance services are offered for passengers with reduced mobility. At the moment of making your reservation, but not after 48 hours prior to your flight, you should inform your airline about your needs. If needed, an ambulift will be made available to facilitate boarding the aircraft. The Sirius and Saturn lounges are equipped with an internet system for the visually-impaired, adapted toilets and a room with a sound panel for the hearing-impaired.
