Timisoara Traian Vuia International Airport, also known as Giarmata Airport and opened on February 28, 1964, is one of the busiest in Romania. It operates with domestic and international flights to destinations in Europe.

The airport has ATMs, VIP lounges and Wi-Fi access with no charge.

Food and Drinks- There are coffee shops in the public area and the transit hall, and vending machines throughout the enclosure.
Shopping- Duty-free shops in the Departures Hall and the transit area, in addition to newsagents.
Baggage- Secure luggage wrapping in front of the check-in offices. Contact the counter of the corresponding airline in case of missing baggage.

Bus - Express service E4 from RATT (Tel +40 356 803 700) connects the airport with the city centre, stopping at Swoboda, Hella, Jumbo, Ghiroda, Arena Aqua and Badea Cartan, while line E4b runs to Gara de Nord Station and Baritiu, via Jumbo, Ghiroda, Badea Cartan and Oituz. The trip takes around 15-20 minutes and tickets can be acquired in the domestic area of the terminal. On the other hand, AGN Travel (Tel +40 723 529 359) provides private or shared transportation to Arad from €22.00. It operates from Monday to Friday from 10:30 am to 1:40 am and travel time is 60 min.

Taxi - Ranks are found opposite the passenger terminal. The trip to the city centre takes 25 minutes.

 
 

There are no hotels inside the grounds. Some options nearby have transfer services. Notify your airline about your particular needs at the time of your booking. Car parks have reserved spaces for passengers with reduced mobility. There are ramps to access the terminal, and accessible toilets and telephones.
