Ireland West Airport Knock, opened on May 30, 1986, is an important airstation in the Republic of Ireland that serves County Mayo. It operates with regular and charter flights to different destinations in the United Kingdom and other European countries.

The airport is located 5.6 km (3 miles) to the south of Charlestown and 20 km (12.5 miles) northeast from the village of Knock.

Bus - Line 64 from Bus Éireann (Tel +353 185 083 6611) connects the enclosure with Galway (€13.50), Sligo (€12.50) and Derry (€24.00), with intermediate stops in Dunmore, Cloonfad, Milltown, Ballindine, Kilkelly, Charlestown (€2.70), Curry, Grange, Bundoran, Ballyshannon, Donegal, Letterkenny. Route 438 runs to Charlestown, Swinford, Foxford and Ballina. Bus 440 links the airport with Charlestown, Swinford, Ballyvary, Castlebar, Westport, Kilkelly, Ballyhaunis and Athlone. Line 22 travels to the airport and city of Dublin (€22.00) via Ballina, Foxford, Swinford, Charlestown, Tulsk, Strokestown, Longford, Mullingar, Maynooth and Liffey Valley. Timetables and fares

Train - The closest stations are situated in Claremorris and Ballyhaunis, where you can board trains from Iarnród Éireann (Tel +353 1836 6222) to Dublin's Heuston Terminal (€36.65-38.05), Adamstown, Newbridge, Kildare, Tullamore, Ballina, Castlebar and Westport.

Taxi - Ranks are situated outside the Arrivals area. The fare to Charlestown is around €15.00, while to Knock is about €25.00. There is a parking area with spaces for short and long stays. The first 15 minutes have no charge. While the car park is monitored around the clock, it closes one hour after the arrival of the last flight. Fees
