Porto airport (OPO) 

 

Porto Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, opened on December 3, 1945, is the second largest in the country. It operates with domestic and international flights to destinations in Europe, Africa, North America and South America.

Annual passenger traffic: More than 9.3 million passengers went through it in 2016.

Bus - There are different services from STCP (Tel +351 226 158 158) from the enclosure, with a frequency of 25-30 minutes: 601 - Cordoaria, Praça Galiza, Boavista, Exponor, Pedras Rubras (from 5:30 am to 0:30 am); 602 - Cordoaria, Monte dos Burgos, Padrão da Légua, Ponte de Moreira, Pedras Rubras (5:30 am to 0:30 am); 604 - Hospital São João, Ponte da Pedra, Vasco da Gama, Maia, Padrão Moreira, Crestins, Pedras Rubras (6:00 am to 9:00 pm). A single ticket has a cost of €1.90 and journey time to the city centre is 35 min. Resende (Tel +351 229 399 061) provides transportation to Santa Cruz, Leça, Matosinhos and Guifões (line 120; 50 min. trip) every 30 min. Mondays through Saturdays between 6:10 am and 7:30 pm, and Sundays from 7:25 am to 7:30 pm; and to Leça, Matosinhos, Cruz Pau, Continente, Guifões, Gatões, Custóias and São Gens (line 105N; 60 min.) from 7:45 pm to 0:00 am. Buses from Barquense (Tel +351 258 454 303) travel several times a day to Viana do Castelo (€8.00), Ponte de Lima (€9.00), Arcos de Valdevez and Ponte da Barca (€12.00). Getbus (Tel +351 253 262 371) runs to Braga and Guimarães, with a journey time of 50 min. and a fare of €8.00. Ovnitur Viagens (Tel +351 962 621 309) goes to Póvoa de Varzim, Esposende, Viana do Castelo, Lanheses and Ponte de Lima. There are also AUTNA buses (Tel +351 251 821 043) to the Spanish cities of Valencia (€8.05; 1 hour and 20 min.) and Vigo (€12.00; 2 hour and 50 min.) 100 Rumos (Tel +351 252 116 701) and Goin'Shuttle (Tel +351 937 599 089) offer private or shared shuttle services to different areas of Porto, Braga and Guimarães, while Transdev (Tel +351 222 006 954) has regular trips to Porto bus terminal (€2.70).

Metro - Line E Violet from Metro do Porto (Tel +351 225 081 000) connects the enclosure with Estádio do Dragão in 40 minutes, with a frequency of 20-30 min. from 6:00 am to 0:30 am. The fare is €1.95. Intermediate stops at Botica, Verdes, Crestins, Esposade, Custóias, Sete Bicas, Viso, Ramalde, Trindade, Bolhão and Campanhã.

Taxi - Cabs from ANTRAL (Tel ​+351 225 353 359) available around the clock outside the Arrivals Hall. The journey to downtown Porto takes 20-30 minutes.

In the Arrivals area there are counters from Avis/Budget (Tel +351 229 436 900), Europcar (Tel +351 229 482 452), Goldcar (Tel +351 961 192 943), Guerin (Tel +351 229 415 939), Hertz (Tel +351 219 426 300) and Sixt (Tel +351 222 076 725). They operate from 7:00 am to 0:00 am.

The airport has a bank, ATMs, currency exchange bureau, post office, meeting room, mobile phone service, public telephones, internet kiosks and Wi-Fi access free of charge. Between gates 31 and 32 is located the Lounge ANA, with a cost of €22.14; it opens from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm and provides drinks, appetizers, charging and workstations, computers with internet, Wi-Fi, sofas, TV, newspapers and magazines.

Food and Drinks- Inside the terminal there are numerous restaurants, fast food outlets, coffee shops, bars and icecream stores.
Shopping
- Duty-free shops after the security control, gifts, accessories, candy, books, newspapers and magazines, tobacco, clothing, sports, footwear, cosmetics, jewellery, handicrafts.
Baggage
- Luggage carts for free. Secure wrapping before the security control, from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm (Tel +351 917 386 826). Left luggage service from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm on floor 3. Lockers in the Arrivals Hall. Lost and found office on the ground floor, available around the clock (Tel +351 229 482 693).

There are several parking options for short and long stays, available 24 hours a day. There are also valet parking services from 5:00 am to 12:00 pm (Tel +351 808 919 091) and passenger pick-up and drop-off zones (Kiss & Fly) on levels 0 and 3, which are free for 10 minutes. Rates

Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs are advised to contact their airline or travel agency at least 48 hours before their arrival at the airport. Inside the enclosure there are eleavators, adapted restrooms and reserved parking spaces.
