Porto Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, opened on December 3, 1945, is the second largest in the country. It operates with domestic and international flights to destinations in Europe, Africa, North America and South America.

The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureaus (5:00 am to 0:00 am), post office, mobile phone service, internet kiosks and Wi-Fi access free of charge. Next to gates 31 and 32 is located the ANA Airport Lounge, open from 5:00 am to 11:00 pm; it provides drinks, appetizers, charging stations, computers, Wi-Fi, sofas, TV, newspapers and magazines, conference facilities, telephones, fax, air conditioning (access with Priority Pass, Lounge Club, DragonPass or Diners Club membership, through online booking or by paying at the door - €24.00).
Food and Drinks- Inside the terminal there are numerous restaurants, fast food outlets, coffee shops, bars and icecream stores.
Shopping- Duty-free shops after the security control, gifts, accessories, candy, books, newspapers and magazines, tobacco, clothing, sports, footwear, cosmetics, jewellery, handicrafts, electronics.
