Ponta Delgada airport (PDL)

Ponta Delgada João Paulo II Airport, opened on August 24, 1969, serves the island of São Miguel, in the archipelago of the Azores, 1500 km away from Lisbon. It operates with destinations inside the islands and the country, and with international flights within Europe and North America.

The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureau (Mondays through Fridays from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, weekends from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm), post office, charging and workstations, mobile phone service and Wi-Fi access free of charge. The SATA Lounge is situated on the left side of the main boarding hall and opens from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm; it provides air conditioning, newspapers and magazines, TV, refreshments, drinks, telephones (access with Priority Pass, Diners Club, SATA Silversky, Goldsky, Imagine or Trade membership, business class passengers from SATA Air Açores).
