Passenger guide - Lajes airport (TER) 

 

Lajes Airport, opened on October 4, 1930, is the air entry point for Terceira island, in the archipelago of the Azores. In addition to internal destinations within the islands, it operates with flights to Lisbon, Madrid and Boston.

The airport is situated 4 km (2 miles) southeast from the city of Lajes.

Bus - EVT (Tel +351 295 217 001) operates services from in front of the Departures Hall to Praia da Vitória, with a fare of €1.02 and a trip of 10 minutes. Buses leave Mondays through Fridays between 6:40 am and 7:55 pm, Saturdays from 6:40 am to 7:40 pm, and Sundays from 8:40 am to 6:40 pm. There is also a line to Angra do Heroísmo (€2.86; 1 hour and 10 min.) on weekdays from 6:40 am to 6:50 pm, Saturdays from 6:40 am to 5:50 pm, and Sundays from 8:40 am to 5:35 pm. Further information

The airport has ATMs, postal services, public telephones and Wi-Fi access with no charge. The SATA Plus Lounge is found after the security control and opens from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm during the summer, and from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm in winter time.

Food and Drinks- Restaurants in the check-in area (third floor) and on level 2, in the Departures Hall and the public area.
Shopping- Duty-free store on the second floor, clothing and accessories, newspapers and magazines, tobacco.
Baggage- The lost and found office is handled by the airport police (Tel +351 295 512 201 / 202).

There are outdoor parking lots next to the airport's access road, opposite the terminal building and 50 meters away. Fees

 

If you should require special assistance, ask for the proper services in advance, 36 to 48 hours before your arrival, at Tel +351 295 540 047. Once at the airport, report at the meeting point situated at the southern end of the check-in area.
