Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport, opened on May 2, 1974, is one of the busiest in Poland and serves the metropolitan area comprised by the cities of Gdansk, Sopot and Gdynia. It operates with domestic destinations and international flights within Europe and the Middle East.

Number of Terminals - 2 - Terminal 1 (non-Schengen flights) and Terminal 2 (Schengen flights). Open 24 hours a day and connected through a bridge on level 1.
Annual passenger traffic: More than 4.6 million passengers went through it in 2017.

The airport is situated 12 km (7.5 miles) to the west of Gdansk, 10 km (6.2 miles) southwest from Sopot and 23 km (14.4 miles) to the south of Gdynia.

Bus - ZTM Gdansk (Tel +48 585 205 700) operates line 110 to Gdansk-Wrzeszcz train station, with stops in Slowackiego, Zlota Karczma, Zolnierzy Wykletych and Dmowskiego. Bus 210 goes to Osowa, Barniewicka, Wodnika, Radarowa, Slowackiego, Potokowa, Rakoczego, Piecewska, Brama Wyzynna, Okopowa and Goscinna. Line 122 runs to Slowackiego, Grunwaldzka, Polna, Haffnera and Sopot Kamienny Potok, while route N3 is a night service to Wrzeszc, Dmowskiego, Slowackiego, Nowatorów, Kartuska, Hucisko and Dworzec Glówny.
There are also private or shared minibus transfers to different locations in the area, such as Koszalin, Slawno, Slupsk, Lebork, Torun, Gdansk, Olsztyn and Ostroda, provided by Air-Transfer (Tel +48 947 110 510), Arriva Bus Transport Polska (Tel +48 566 212 222), GDN Express (Tel +48 793 276 263), Wagner Transport (Tel +48 510 033 473), AD-MAR (Tel +48 693 434 909), Daw Marcin Wójcik (Tel +48 600 218 795), Niwo (Tel +48 515 044 180), Olimpic (Tel +48 501 718 211), Translineair (Tel +48 790 103 103), Transwal (Tel +48 601 681 381) and Twój Bus 24 (Tel +48 600 459 009).

Train - Services from SKM (Tel +48 587 212 170) between the airport, Gdansk-Wrzeszcz, Gdynia Glówna and Koscierzyna every 30 minutes, and to Gdansk-Glówny and Kartuzy every hour. They operate from 4:30 am to 10:00 pm. Tickets can be acquired at machines located on the east side of Terminal 2. Journey time to the city centre is around 35 min.

Taxi - Opposite the terminal's main entrance you can board cabs from Neptun Taxi (Tel +48 19686 / 585 111 555 / 800 170 700). The trip to downtown Gdansk takes 20-30 minutes.

The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureau (6:00 am to 2:00 am), post office and Wi-Fi access free of charge for 15 minutes. The Hampton by Hilton hotel, situated next to the airport, has a business center with meeting rooms. The Executive Lounge is situated next to gates 11-18 of Terminal 2 and opens from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm; it offers air conditioning, bar, press, food, TV, Wi-Fi (accessible with Priority Pass, DragonPass or Diners Club membership, or by paying at the door).

Food and Drinks- Both in the Arrivals and Departures areas there are restaurants and coffee shops.
Shopping- Duty-free shop on the first floor, convenience store on the lower level, clothing, electronics, jewellery, souvenirs, newsagent.
Baggage- Lost and found office in the Schengen Arrivals Hall (Tel +48 801 066 808).
Other Services- Travel agencies, chapel, baby care facilities, first aid clinic, children's playground, smoking lounges.

Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs should inform their airline or travel agency about their particular needs at least 48 hours in advance. Reserved parking spaces directly opposite the terminal, elevators and adapted toilets are available.
