Amsterdam Schiphol aiport is one of the busiest in Europe. Besides direct flights, has many connecting flights to/from other continents. For this reason, many passengers have flights late at night or early in the morning and low budget travelers decides to spend the night at the air terminal. It shouldn't be a problem in this case, because the airport offers many 24-hour services.
In the boarding area (departures lounge) there are some areas assigned for resting. In addition, between the concourse E and F there are several armless chairs and benches. In the arrivals area there are some cafes with comfortable sofas. However after midnight, security staff usually verify that passengers already have their boarding pass, so if your flight does not apply to check in yet, then, you will have to remain in the public zone.
As any airport with a lot of movement, the Schiphol is very bright and quite noisy at night, so it is smart to wear earplugs, eye-mask and a blanket or warm clothes as well, because at night it is usually quite cold.
Vip Lounges - In addition, you can find a confortable place to stay at night, in the vip lounges. VIP areas have bathrooms with showers and comfortable chairs and sofas for resting. Access lounge: with a membership card or paying a fee at the door. See Vip lounges and services
Hotels - If you have some extra money, there are hotels within or adjacent the airport and offer rooms per hour.
Restrooms with showers are available at the Vip lounges and in hotels located inside the airport (for a fee can be used the shower service with towel included).
Eating and drinking - some fast food restaurants, 24-hour cafes and bars.
Internet Wi-Fi - free access
