Vilnius International Airport, opened on August 17, 1932, is the largest in Lithuania. It operates with international flights to different locations in Europe and the Middle East.

Vilnius airport is located 7 km (4.5 miles) to the south of the city.

The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureaus (6:00 am to 10:45 pm), mobile phone service and free Wi-Fi access for 6 hours. Meeting and conference rooms are available on the Departures level. The IDW Esperanza Resort Business Lounge is located on the third floor and opens from 4:00 am to 10:00 pm; it offers refreshments, drinks, computers, press, TV, Wi-Fi, air conditioning (access with Priority Pass or Diners Club membership, through online booking or by paying at the door - €29.00).

Food and Drinks- Bars, restaurants and cafés in the Departures area, while in the Arrivals lounge you can find two coffee shops.
Shopping- Duty-free shops in the Departures area, souvenirs, books, press, accessories, electronics, jewellery, clothing, flowers, tobacco, perfumes, cosmetics.
Baggage- Left luggage and wrapping services 24 hours a day in the Departures Hall. In case of missing baggage, contact the security office (Tel +370 6114 0747).
Other Services- Pharmacy, children's playground, cinema, baby changing facilities, smoking areas.

 

Bus - There are vehicles from Susisiekimo Paslaugos (Tel +370 5270 9339) that connect the airport with the city centre. Lines 1 and 2 head for Vilnius terminal, with a trip of 15 minutes, route 3G goes to Fabijoniskes and Vilnius city centre, and line 88 runs to Europos aikste in about 40 min., via the old town and Nepriklausomybes Square. Tickets have a cost of €1.00.
Microbuses from TOKS (Tel +370 5216 0054) leave from in front of Arrivals Hall C to Vilnius Station between 8:00 am and 10:40 pm, with a fare of €1.00 and a travel time of 10 min. The company also provides transportation to Palanga, going through Kaunas and Klaipeda (€15.12).
The Vilnius Airport Express (Tel +370 5210 4304) links the enclosure with Akropolis shopping center, in Klaipeda, with a journey time of 4 hours and a fare of €15.00, via Kaunas (€10.00).
Ecolines (Tel +370 3720 2022) operates a service to Minsk four times a day (3 hours and 45 min.; €12.00).
FlyBus (Tel +371 2708 8719) offers transfers to Riga during flight hours (€20.00).

Train - A pedestrian walkway links the terminal with a train stop from which special services depart to Vilnius station. Travel time is 7 minutes and it costs €0.70. More information: Tel +370 7005 5111.

Taxi - Cabs available outside the Arrivals area. The trip to the city centre costs around €12.00 and takes 15 minutes. Prices are higher during the night (10:00 pm to 6:00 am), on the weekends and holidays.

Reserved parking spaces, transportation and escort services, wheelchairs, adapted toilets, elevators, special lanes at the security checkpoints and an ambulift to board the plane.
