Palermo Falcone-Borsellino Airport, also known as Punta Raisi Airport and opened in 1960, is one of the most important in the island of Sicily. It operates with domestic and international flights to the main destinations in Europe and Northern Africa.

The airport has a bank (Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm and from 2:55 pm to 4:25 pm), ATMs, currency exchange bureau (7:00 am to 9:30 pm), postal services, charging stations and Wi-Fi access free of charge. The Gesap VIP Lounge is located on the first floor, next to check-in area A, and opens from 5:30 am to 9:30 pm; it provides snacks, TV, newspapers, magazines, air conditioning, conference facilities, Wi-Fi (access with Priority Pass, Lounge Club or Diners Club membership, or through online booking).
Food and Drinks- There are bars on the three levels and restaurants on the second floor.
Shopping- Duty-free store on the second floor, Departures area. There are also retailers selling sweets, clothing, books, newspapers, tobacco, toys, gifts, regional products.
Baggage- Secure luggage wrapping in the Departures Hall of the first floor (check-in area B). Lost objects are kept for the first 48 hours in the duty officer room, in front of the first floor ticket offices, which operates around the clock (Tel +39 917 020 265); after 2 days, unclaimed property is stored in a warehouse that opens Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm (Tel +39 917 020 538).

Bus - Autolinee Prestia e Comandè (Tel +39 9158 6351 / 0457) travels every 30 minutes between 5:00 am and 0:15 am to Palermo central station, with a fare of €6.30 and a trip of 50 min. Intermediate stops include Piazza Gentili, Piazza Croci, Politeama and the port.
On the other hand, Autolinee Segesta (Tel +39 9134 2525 / 616 4160) operates services to Trapani harbour (via Fardella, Marsala and Mazzini) with a cost of €10.00 and a journey time of 70 min., while Autolinee Gallo (Tel +39 916 171 141) heads for Menfi (€9.30), Sciacca (€10.30) and Ribera (€11.30) every day at 2:50 pm, except on Sundays and holidays.
Buses from Sal Autolinee Licata (Tel +39 922 401 360) run to Agrigento and Porto Empedocle and tickets have a cost of €12.60; they do not depart on Sundays and holidays.
Taxi - Cabs are available outside the Arrivals area during flight hours. The fare to the city's central station is €45.00 and the trip takes 25 minutes. The official operators are Cooperativa Trinacria (Tel +39 9122 5455 / 916 878) and Cooperativa Autoradio Taxi (Tel +39 9151 3311 / 918 481).

P2 - It is located opposite the passenger terminal and is connected through covered walkways.
P3 - Situated 500 meters away, with free shuttle service.
There are elevators, adapted restrooms, a special waiting room and reserved parking spaces directly across from the terminal. Passengers requiring special assistance are advised to inform their airline about their particular needs at the moment of their booking or at least 48 hours before their flight. Unaccompanied minors between 5 and 14 years old will be escorted by the airline staff until boarding and after disembarking and supervised during the flight.
