Naples airport (NAP)

Naples-Capodichino Ugo Niutta International Airport, opened in 1910, is one of the largest in Southern Italy and one of the busiest in the country. It operates with domestic flights, as well as several international destinations in Europe, the Middle East and Northern Africa.

Annual passenger traffic: More than 8.5 million passengers went through it in 2017.

The airport is located 7 km (4 miles) northeast from the city centre.

Counters are located in the Arrivals Hall. There are free shuttles that depart to the car rental area between 7:30 am and 11:30 pm.

The airport has a bank (from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm and from 2:45 pm to 4:15 pm), ATMs, currency exchange bureaus (5:30 am to 11:30 pm), post office and free Wi-Fi access. The VIP Lounge Caruso is located across from gate C17 and opens from 5:00 am to 9:00 pm; it provides Wi-Fi, snacks, computers, showers, newspapers and magazines, TV, air conditioning, drinks (accessible with Priority Pass or DragonPass membership, through online booking or by paying at the door - €22.00).

Food and Drinks- Pizza stores, fast food outlets, cafés, bars and restaurants before and after the security checkpoint.
Shopping- There is a duty-free shop in the Departures area of the first floor, a mini-market in the Arrivals Hall, and stores selling newspapers, tobacco, gifts, accessories, fashion, jewellery, perfumes, cosmetics, toys, sweets, books, electronics, regional products.
Baggage- Luggage storage and secure wrapping in the Departures area of the first floor, near the security control, from 5:00 am to 10:00 pm (Tel +39 817 896 555). Lost and found office in the Arrivals Hall, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm (Tel +39 817 896 1818).

Bus - The Alibus (Tel +39 800 639 525 / 817 631 111) connects the enclosure with the city centre every 30 minutes between 6:00 am and 11:00 pm. Tickets have a cost of €5.00 and journey time is 30-35 min. Stops include Piazza Garibaldi, Porta di Massa and Stazione Marittima.
Buonotourist/Eurobooking (Tel +39 8195 1761 / 8979 5068) links the airport with Piazza Casalbore, Piazza XXIV Maggio, Piazza Concordia and Salerno Station in 1 hour and 10 min, while SITA (Tel +39 344 103 1070) travels to Nocera, Fisciano and Salerno, with a fare of €4.30.
Autolinee Beducci (Tel +39 817 776 750 / 327 736 0135) and Pintourbus (Tel +39 818 792 645) travel to Amalfi, stopping at Vietri, Maiori, Minori, Ercolano, Pompeii, Sorrento, Positano and Praiano (€9.09-13.64).
There are also services from COSAT (Tel +39 8938 2062) to Battipaglia via Salerno and Bellizzi that operate only on Sundays; and from Autolinee Curreri (Tel +39 818 015 420 / 016 376) to Sorrento train station (1 hour and 15 min.; €10.00).
Autolinee Curcio (Tel +39 8923 3899 / 800 122 012) links the enclosure with Piazza Padre Pio, in the city of Sapri, via Eboli, Agropoli and Capitello (€14.00).
Line 119 from Busitalia Campania (Tel +39 8948 7111) connects the airport with Salerno, Battipaglia, Eboli and Serre in 2 hours and 20 min.; and Autolinee Liscio (Tel +39 9715 4675) runs to Fisciano, Lancusi, Salerno, Sicignano, Picerno and Potenza, with a cost of €8.10.
Timetables and fares

Taxi - Ranks are situated in front of the Arrivals area. The fare to downtown Naples is €18.00 and the trip takes 20-35 minutes.
