Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport is the busiest in the Emilia-Romagna region, in the northeast area of the country. it operates with domestic flights and many international destinations in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

The airport is located 6 km (3.75 miles) northeast from Bologna and 200 km (125 miles) to the southeast of Milan.

Bus - The Aerobus (Tel +39 051 290 290) connects the enclosure with the city centre and the train station in 20 minutes, with a fare of €6.00. It operates from 5:30 am to 0:15 am. Intermediate stops include Pontelungo and Ospedale Maggiore. Stefano Mignani (Tel +39 073 3177 6474 / 051 082 8505) provides direct transport to Ascoli Piceno in around 4 hours. Tickets have a cost of €32.00 and stops include Pesaro, Ancona, Loreto, Fermo, Pedaso, Cupra Marittima and Grottammare. Shuttle-CRAB (Tel +39 054 527 077) runs to Ravenna (€20.00; 90 min.) and Cervia (€25.00; 2 hours), with departures at 6:00 am, 10:30 am, 3:00 pm and 7:30 pm (stops at Bagnacavallo by previous request). The Bus & Fly service (Tel +39 053 2194 4444) links the airport with the city of Ferrara, with a cost of €15.00 and a journey of 1 hour. In addition, there are direct buses to Calenzano and Florence (90 min.) provided by Appennino Shuttle (Tel +39 348 370 5661) for €20.00; to Modena (50 min.) by SACA (Tel +39 059 710 7080) with a fare of €15.00; and to Rimini (90 min.) by Shuttle Bologna-Rimini (Tel +39 054 160 0100), with a cost of €25.00.

Train - The airport is located 6 km away from Bologna central station, one of the most important in the country. Trains from Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane (Tel +39 064 4101) and Italo (Tel +39 892 020) leave from there.

Taxi - There are cabs from Cotabo (Tel +39 051 372 727) and CAT Radiotaxi (Tel +39 051 4590) outside the Arrivals area. The fare to downtown Bologna is about €15.00 (€18.00 during the night) and the trip takes 15-20 minutes.

The airport has ATMs, currency exchange bureaus, bank, public telephones and Wi-Fi access with no charge for 6 hours. The Marconi Business Lounge is found on the first floor, opens from 5:00 am to 11:30 pm and costs €28.00; it provides privileged access to the boarding area, Wi-Fi, printers, photocopiers, office sector, TV, cafeteria, meeting room.

Food and Drinks- Restaurants, pizza stores, coffee shops and bars on both levels of the building. Puro Gusto, opposite the terminal entrance, opens 24 hours a day.
Shopping- Duty-free stores on the Departures level. There are also retailers selling fashion, accessories, cosmetics, perfumes, books, regional products, newspapers and magazines, sweets, and a supermarket on the ground floor.
Baggage- Plastic wrapping machines on the ground floor, next to the check-in area, available from 4:00 am until the last flight departure. 24-hour left luggage service at the security department, on the first floor. Lost and found office in the Arrivals area (Tel +39 051 647 9647).

P1 - Covered and outdoor spaces, with charging stations for electric vehicles.
P2 - Multi-storey facility with bays for motorcycles and valet parking service (Tel +39 051 647 9381).
P3 - Car park located 200 meters away from the terminal, with uncovered and roofed areas.
P4 - For long stays, 1,5 km away from the main building. Free shuttle every 20 minutes.

Children between 5 and 14 years old travelling alone will be escorted by the airport crew until boarding, and then will be supervised by the airline. Facilities are comprised by reserved parking spaces near the terminal entrances, a special waiting room, wheelchairs, accessible restrooms, elevators, Braille signage, induction loops for the hearing-impaired, ambulifts to board and disembark from the airplane, escort services.
