Ancona airport (AOI) 

 

Ancona Falconara Airport, also known as Raffaello Sanzio Airport or Delle Marche Airport, is the most important in the Marche region, in central Italy. It operates with domestic flights and some international destinations in Europe.

The airport is located in the Falconara Marittima commune, 12 km (8 miles) to the west of Ancona.

Bus - The Raffaello Aerobus from Conerobus (Tel +39 071 283 7411) is an exclusive service to and from the airport that operates at flight arrival and departure times, between 7:00 am and 10:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased from the driver, with a cost of €3.00 to Falconara and €5.00 to Ancona. Journey time is around 30 minutes. Further information

Train - The enclosure is directly connected to Castelferretti Station, where trains from Trenitalia (Tel +39 892 021) depart to Ancona Station (25 minutes trip). From there you can reach different national and international destinations. Timetables and schedules

Taxi - Cabs from CTF Taxi (Tel +39 071 918 9531) are available outside the terminal. The trip to downtown Ancona takes 20 minutes and has a cost of around €40.00.

The airport has a bank, ATMs, public telephones and free Wi-Fi access for 30 minutes. Meeting rooms for hire are available in the Departures and Arrivals areas. The Reserved Waiting Lounge, situated inside the terminal, offers workstations, internet access and magazines.

Food and Drinks- There are bars in the Departures and Arrivals areas, and a pizza store in the Departures lounge.
Shopping- Duty-free shop in the Departures Hall, in addition to retailers selling regional products, newsagents and tobacconists.

Street level parking - Outdoor lot for short stays in front of the Departures area. The first 20 minutes have no charge.

Facilities include elevators, adapted restrooms, designated parking spaces close to the terminal, reserved seats and means to facilitate boarding and disembarking from the aircraft for passengers with reduced mobility. Some air companies offer escort services for minors between 5 and 14 years old travelling alone. To guarantee the proper service, you should inform your airline about your needs at the moment of booking or at least 48 hours before your flight.
