Reykjavík Airport, opened on March, 1940, is the second busiest in Iceland. It concentrates all domestic flights in the country, while international flights are operated from Keflavík airport. There are also flights to Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

Bus - Strætó (Tel +354 540 2700) operates services to different destinations inside the city. Line 15 stops near Air Iceland Terminal, while route 19 stops close to Eagle Air Terminal. They run to Reykjavegur, Reykjalundur, Háholt, Álfatangi, Lágafellsskóli, Vesturlandsvegur, Grensás, Laugardalshöll, Hlemmur, Landspítalinn, Hjarðarhagi, Hofsvallagata and Flyðrugrandi. They operate from Mondays through Fridays between 6:35 am and 1:00 am, Saturdays from 7:35 am to 1:00 am and Sundays from 9:35 am to 1:00 am. Taxi - Cabs available outside the Arrivals area during scheduled flight times. Otherwise, inside the terminal there is a courtesy phone to request the service. The trip to the city centre takes around 10 minutes.
