Passenger guide - Thessaloniki airport (SKG) 

 

Thessaloniki International Airport Makedonia, opened in 1930, is one of the busiest in Greece and serves the central area of Macedonia. In addition to domestic flights, it operates with several international destinations in Europe and the Middle East.

Annual passenger traffic: More than 5.3 million passengers went through it during 2015.

The airport is located 15 km (9.5 miles) to the south of the city centre.

Bus - OASTH (Tel +30 231 098 1100) operates line 78 to the intercity terminal, via the city centre. It departs every 30 minutes between 5:00 am and 10:00 pm. Journey time is 45 minutes and the fare is €0.60. Intermediate stops include Astinomia, Pronia, Krikela, Martiou, Evzonon, Dimarhiako Megaro, Platia Aristotelous, Platia Emporiou, Anageniseos, Orizomili and Neos Sidirodromikos Stathmos, Thessaloniki's main train station. The airport has ATMs, currency exchange service, post office, VIP lounges and public telephones.

Food and Drinks- There is a restaurant, a bakery and some bars inside the terminal.
Shopping- Store with duty-free items in the Departures area.
Baggage- Left luggage and secure wrapping services on the first floor of the Arrivals area (Tel +30 231 098 5289). Enquiries about missing belongings should be directed to the enclosure's information desk.
Other Services- Medical center, children's playground.

There are access ramps, elevators, accessible toilets and telephones, and designated parking spaces. If you should require special assistance, contact your airline or travel agency at least 48 hours before your arrival.
