Thessaloniki Airport Makedonia, opened in 1930, is one of the busiest in Greece and serves the central area of Macedonia. In addition to domestic flights, it operates with several international destinations in Europe and the Middle East.

Car rental search

Bus - OASTH (Tel +30 231 098 1100) operates lines 78 and 78N to the intercity terminal, via the city centre. They depart 24 hours a day, every 30 minutes. Journey time is 45 min. and the fare is €2.00. Intermediate stops include Astinomia, Pronia, Krikela, Martiou, Evzonon, Dimarhiako Megaro, Platia Aristotelous, Platia Emporiou, Anageniseos, Orizomili and Neos Sidirodromikos Stathmos, Thessaloniki's main train station. Route 79 leaves from 6:05 am to 10:30 pm headed for Astinomia, Georgiki Sholi and Anatolikos Stathmos Ikea. More information
