Kos International Airport, also known as Hippocrates Airport and opened on April 4, 1964, is an airstation belonging to the Greek island of Kos. It operates with domestic and international flights to several important European destinations, many of them seasonal.

The airport is located in Andimachia, 25 km (16 miles) to the southwest of the city of Kos.

Bus - KTEL (Tel +30 224 202 2292) operates services to the city of Kos and the port of Mastichari, with a trip of 40 minutes and a fare of €3.20. The stop is found 20 meters away from the Arrivals Hall. Buses leave Mondays through Fridays at 7:55 am and 3:45 pm, and weekends at 8:30 am. Transportation to Kefalos and Kardamena (€2.00) is also available. More information

Taxi - Ranks are situated directly outside the main building. The journey to the city centre takes 30-35 minutes and has a fare of €35.00. Information and reservations at Tel +30 224 202 2777 / 3333 / 1666.

Food and Drinks- In the Departures area there are several coffee shops, both before and after the security checkpoint.
Shopping- A store with duty-free items is available.
Baggage- Belongings lost inside the public area should be accounted for at the enclosure's information booth.
Other Services- First aid clinic.

 

There are spaces for short- and long-term parking in front of the terminal building.

 

Passengers requiring special assistance or wheelchairs are advised to arrange the proper services with their airline or travel agency prior to their arrival.
